Orange and the Central West offer some of the best hiking and walking tracks Australia has on offer. If you must pick just one, we recommend the Federal Falls Walk, a 4km loop that’ll take no more than 2 hours to complete. Be sure to take it easy as there are some rather steep declines…just remember, what goes down must come up! Feel those legs burrrn. You’ll pass through snow gum forest and gigantic rock faces before arriving at Federal Falls. If you’re doing the loop, we recommend starting at the southern end and walking in a clockwise direction – this way you’ll be heading downhill on the steeper sections. She’s a little hard…but totally worth the view of the cascading waterfall.
